About Us

The mission of the Potawatomi Mountain Biking Association’s Waterloo Trail Project is to work with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to open land in Waterloo State Recreation Area to mountain biking, while simultaneously respecting the preservation and conservation goals of the MDNR and with consideration of the desires of other non-motorized user groups. The goal of the project is to create and maintain five distinct, singletrack loops totaling approximately 25 miles of trail. In addition, we have the long-term goal of providing a connector trail open to bicycle use to the well-established Potawatomi Trail at nearby Pinckney Recreation Area. The resulting epic “flow trail” system will consist of over 50 miles of no-repeat singletrack trail.
