The DTE Energy Foundation Trail was a project of unprecedented scope and breadth – a public/private partnership between the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and the Potowatomi Mountain Biking Association (PotoMBA – www.potomba.org), an International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) Chapter, to create the Midwest’s premier mountain bike trail system. The trail consists of four loops totaling approximately 22 miles, with each loop constructed progressing in level of difficulty and challenge. A potential fifth loop of the trail approximating 4 miles is possible in the future, pending MDNR approval. Follow our Facebook page for updates. While some volunteer base was utilized for trail corridor clearing, most of the trail was built by renowned mountain bike trail builders, Spectrum Trail Designs (www.spectrumtraildesign.com). Care and maintenance of the trail is a constant and ongoing process. You can help by donating to the DTE Trail Fund. .
