Ales for Trails: New Belgium Benefits the Michigan Mountain Biking Association (MMBA)

Location: HopCat – Detroit at 4265 Woodward Avenue in Detroit

When: Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 5:00-9:00pm

Event link:  https://www.facebook.com/events/822846737871107/

HopCat Detroit is teaming with New Belgium Brewing to raise money for the Michigan Mountain Biking Association.

New Belgium has donated two of their famous Fat Tire bikes (one from Detroit Bikes & one from Felt Bicycles) for us to raffle off to raise money for the MMBA’s ongoing trail development projects and bike advocacy programs.

We will also be hosting a silent auction with some incredible trips and gear donated from our various partners. Along with the donations made from the raffle and silent auction, New Belgium has agreed to donate $.50 of each of their beers sold that night. HopCat will then match that for a total of $1 donated for each New Belgium beer sold.

Starting at 5pm, the Huma Room will open for Bags (Cornhole) & Plinko.

Raffle tickets will cost $5 for the bikes and can be purchased at the bar. Guests can buy as many as they would like. The raffle drawing will take place at 8pm that evening. Participants do not have to be in HopCat for the drawing to win (tickets will have name and phone number).

The silent auction will begin at 5pm and conclude at 8pm. MMBA will be handling the licensing for the raffle as well as taking payments for the silent auction items. You must be present at the end of the silent auction to claim your purchases.
